In 1972, Fred Werner put to music the immortal words of Max Ehrmann's, The Desiderata. 

Les Crane spoke the prose and the recording went on to win the Grammy that year in the category of Best Spoken Word Recording.  

 

Today we are planning to re-record the song with a new Gospel choir, a new featured singer, and a new speaker to be the voice of Wisdom.  It's time for all of us to be re-inspired by these sage and gentle words.  We owe it to future generations and our planet.  

 

You are a child of the universe             

and whether or not it is clear to you, 

no doubt the universe is unfolding

as it should...
